Headaches

There are 4 types of chronic headaches:


  • Cervicogenic Headaches
  • Headache attributed to TMD
  • Tension-Type Headaches
  • Migraines. 


If you are suffering from headaches that are getting in the way of life, Physical therapy is a great source in helping to decrease the intensity or alleviate them all together.  If headaches are keeping you stuck, lets chat.


TMD

TMD is Temporomandibular disorder (TMD) (sometimes referred to as "TMJ" or "jaw pain")


Common symptoms of TMD

  • Jaw pain with chewing, talking and yawning
  • Clicking with jaw movement
  • Intermittent locking on opening or closing the mouth
  • Limited mouth opening
  • Ear symptoms (ear pain, fullness, and tinnitus)
  • Headache (temporalis area)


Physical Therapy can help!  I use a combination of manual therapy techniques, dry needling, and corrective exercises to help alleviate the symptoms of TMD.


Neck Pain

Neck pain can be caused by many factors including:

  • Whiplash injury
  • Forward head posture from prolonged computer/desk work
  • Sleeping on the wrong pillow
  • Increased stress
  • Being a new momma
  • disc herniation/spinal stenosis


Whatever the cause, neck pain can really get in the way of living life.  I know, I've been there and I'd love to help you!

Exercise is proven to be one of the best ways to improve brain health/mood, reduce risk of disease, help manage weight, strengthen bones and muscles, reduce stress and improve sleep quality.


In my opinion, movement is medicine and I love to keep people moving.
